70 AMX Stock eliminator project
update 1/20/2012
Amc stocker update 1/20/20012 ,transmission mount is completed ,clutch linkage has been reworked with aluminum
tubing and 3/8 heim joints ,the Z bar has been modified and gussetts added for extra strenght,next part to be worked
on is dana 60 housing that will be need to narrowed to the stock size rear ,caltrac bars and springs "keep posted"!!!!!
dana 60 is under construction,axles,spool,and housing ends are here with 5/8 wheel studs ,pictures posted soon !!!!!
Project car of the month
This is Jeff lacombe's 2008 Shelby GT/SC convertable CMS#1008 1 of 611 built
Gmonde performance will fabricating a 4 point roll bar ,upgrading the stock brake system with 6 piston Baer front brake
Calipers ,larger diameter brake rotors and a bigger diameter rear rotor package ,also adding a 10 rib belt and pulley system
to replace the exsiting belt shreading 6 rib belt the runs the whipple super charger that makes over 10 lb's of boost ,the 4.6 liter
makes 490 hp@ the rear wheels thru the 5 speed manual gear box ,jeff lacombe will hitting the roadcoarse track in las vegas
in march with his northeast chapter shelby car club,updates and pictures will be added thru out the project "keep posted"!!!! Update 1/8/2012 super charger is reinstalled with the "10 rib" pulley system and pushing 10 lbs of boost ,brakes are bleed and ready for the track ,,, next up on the build is the 4 point bolt in roll bar "keep posted" !!!!!!!! 1/20/2012 update : roll bar is fabricated and tacked in place and final welding will be done tomorrow, ,the plan is to color match the roll bar with the same color of the car , also fabrcate a strut tower support that will clear the whipple super charger keep posted""" for more up dates
